Pain-in-the-Neck

For the past few days I’ve had both a virtual, and literal, pain in my neck.

The literal one has been building for several days, starting as a stiff neck last week, and getting progressively worse. I finally gave in and went to see my chiropractor about it today, but I may need another visit before it’s all said and done. I’ve also done heat packs, cold packs, and massage. The stubborn knots in my neck muscle refuse to loosen up.

As for the virtual pain, it’s relating to one of my work projects. Naturally, I can’t go into any great detail due to the non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) I’ve signed. Suffice it to say that I’m faced with a very complex project, and I’m not receiving the support I need. I have two other, similar projects that I’m working on, and they are going much more smoothly. I’m hoping I can get past some of these hurdles on this more challenging project soon, or it may cause some serious problems with my clients.

In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if the stress from the virtual “pain-in-the-neck” isn’t contributing to the literal one. In either case, I hope they both clear up very soon.
